I’m a mum of two young boys on the Gold Coast, and I have been creating treasure hunts for as long as I can remember. I have made them for family, friends, my husband, and now my kids. Our house and garden often has someone racing around laughing and searching for whatever I have hidden.

For my boys, I hide tiny toys in unexpected places and write a list of everything I have hidden. We sound out the words together, and then they burst into action, racing off to find each treasure.

I love watching them search.
The determination on their faces.
How they keep going when something is tricky to find, and how those little moments quietly build their resilience.
The pure joy, and how proud they are when they spot the treasure and tick it off their list.

I also run treasure hunts at my boys’ birthday parties, and the kids go absolutely wild for it. Parents often laugh and say they have never seen anything like it, and they love how excited their kids get.

Over time, I became the treasure hunt mum.

Whenever we catch up with my boys’ friends, they ask, before they even say hello, if we can play the Seek the Treasure game again.

I love it just as much as they do.

Those moments inspired the Seek the Treasure game, an idea I created from the ground up so families could enjoy the same playful adventures we love.

Then I created the Solve and Seek Calendar.

I have always loved advent calendars. I used to give my boys toy-filled ones throughout the year, especially when we travelled. One tiny door each day, one tiny surprise, and suddenly the day felt extra special.

Adding clues was the perfect next step. Treasure hunts are our thing, and finding the next door by solving a riddle made it feel like an adventure.
